We aim to post orders within 3 working days of payment, although it is often much quicker than this depending on your order. In fact, if you place your order during the day, we usually post it out the following morning. If you have ordered wrapped soaps, your order may not be ready quite so quickly. We do not keep a large stock of ready wrapped bars. Instead we wrap soaps when needed to ensure that the bars are as fresh as possible. Before wrapping the slices need to “air” for several hours.
We have made a commitment in our business to create as little waste as possible. If you buy our soaps / shampoo bars “naked”, they will come to you in a paper bag or wrapped in a piece of recycled paper. Our kraft paper bands are made from recycled paper and can be composted or recycled again. Our wrapped soaps are in handmade paper which can be put in your garden compost and they have white paper bands which are made from recycled paper and can be recycled or composted. Our creams are sold in glass jars with aluminium lids and these are all recyclable.
You can also return your empty jars to us at any of our events, if we are dropping off your order locally or to participating retailers and get 30p off your next Black Cat Soap House purchase. Participating retailers include:
Love your Planet Broughty Ferry Sillyflatt, Montrose Your order is likely to arrive in re-used packaging - we hope you will be pleased about this! We use paper tape to close the parcels and we never use plastic. However, your parcel may still have some plastic sticky tape on from its previous life. We sometimes reuse packing "peanuts". These are made of plant starch, are fully biodegradable and can be put in your food caddy or compost bin. They can also be dissolved in hot water.
