It's important to us to give back to our local and global community as much as we can. Take a look at what we have been doing:
Giving Back Globally
In January 2022 we were very excited to become a member of Buy One Give One (B1G1) Business for Good to embed giving back into our business. Now every day we can help change lives just by doing what we normally do and of course with the help of our customers. Thank you 😊
Every time you place an order on the website, we'll give 30 days of access to life-saving clean water to families in Ethiopia.
If you leave a review on Facebook, Google or the website, we'll give 1 day of training in sustainable farming practices to a farmer in Madagascar.
If you sign up to our newsletter, we'll plant 1 tree to increase the forest cover in India.
And, from January 2023, when you place a trade order with us, we'll give 2 nourishing meals to vulnerable children in Kenya.
We are often approached by local charities and community groups for donations. We support as many as we can.
During the height of the pandemic we donated soap to Ninewells Hospital to put in their wellbeing bags for patients and staff.
We donated soap gifts as a thank you to the volunteers who were working so hard to keep our Kirriemuir community fed and supported during the first lockdown.
We continue to donate to the Kirriemuir Food Hub which supports families and individuals by providing essential items.
We have also volunteered our time to help reduce food waste in Kirriemuir, We have done this by collecting food from the local supermarket and taking it to the Food Hub where it's weighed and put in the Community Food Share.
We have been involved in our local Sustainable Kirriemuir community group's meetings and workshops about recycling and reducing waste, in the Handmade Christmas workshop and giving a talk about soapmaking.
We have also given talks about our business to other local community groups, focusing on why it's important to us to use natural, vegan and sustainable ingredients and plastic free packaging.
We continue to offer free local delivery which began during the first lockdown.
We support an amazing animal sanctuary near Izmir, Haluk's home town in Turkey. Angels Farm Sanctuary is Turkey's largest animal shelter, giving a home and treatment to abandoned and mistreated animals of all species and also rescuing animals from disasters, such as the recent earthquake zones.
