It is normal for your face to feel slightly tingly when applying the mask and for your skin to be pinker than normal after you have rinsed it off.
Clays have been used to soothe, purify, cleanse and heal the skin since ancient times. They are used to flush out toxins, dirt and bacteria and they are also rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and silica which are very beneficial for the skin. Using clay facial masks regularly can help keep skin healthy, treat skin conditions and promote youthful, glowing skin.
Our facial masks come in powder form and the ingredients are activated when you add water. This means that each time you use it, you make up a fresh batch and it also means that there is no need for preservatives to keep it fresh and safe. As with our other products, these are truly natural and made from clays and plants. Nothing else!
For the full spa experience, add a little water to a teaspoon of powder and mix into a smooth paste. You can even use plant milk or add a little oil such as Argan oil or our Gentle Apricot Beauty oil for an extra special treat. Apply to the face using a brush or the back of the spoon or your fingers. Leave for approximately 10 minutes and relax! Rinse off with tepid water. If you want to add some gentle exfoliation, rub the mask gently in circles as you are rinsing off or use a muslin cloth. Pat dry with a clean towel and follow with some organic facial oil as desired.
For a mini mask experience on the go, you can put a little powder in your palm, add some water and apply with your fingers for a thinner, quicker cleanse.
