Gorgeous handmade wooden dishes with 3 drainage holes. Perfect to extend the life of your soap or shampoo bar.

This lovely soap dish is made from North Indian Rosewood (otherwise known as Sheesham wood).

Each one is unique due to the natural difference in the grain of the wood and has a lovely rich golden brown colour.

The sides are carved into 4 ridges and there are 3 holes for drainage. The top of the dish is shaped and the bottom is flat.

Approx size 10 x 12.5 x 2.5cm

To keep your dish looking good for as long as possible, ensure to rinse and leave to dry regularly.

The dishes are made under fair trade conditions and the wood is sourced from managed forests.

The dishes are biodegradable and at the end of their life can be put in the garden waste.

All our natural soap dishes which are made of wood or bamboo are compostable and when they get to the end of their life you can break them up or just put them in the compost or in with the garden waste. This is a great zero waste product!

While it’s normal for them to get darker as they get wet, what you don’t want them to do is start the composting process while they’re in your bathroom! So here are some tips to keep your soap dish nice for as long as possible.

- the main one is to avoid letting it sit in a puddle or in a position where it is constantly getting wet, such as directly under the shower. This is a good tip for the soap as well – the drier it is kept between uses, the longer it will last.

Here are some other tips:

- every so often rinse off any soap which has got stuck to it and wipe the surface that it has been sitting on. Dry with a towel and leave somewhere to dry for a few hours if you can.

- you can use bicarbonate of soda to give it a good clean from time to time. Just take a spoonful and rub it over the dish, leave for a while and then rinse off. Leave to dry.

- once dry, you can also give it a rub down with oil (sunflower or olive oil will do) to condition it and also give it a layer of protection. Just put a few drops of oil on a cloth and rub it all over. Leave to soak in.

Your order will be sent in plastic free packaging.
